Project Overview OR Synopsis:
A found footage experimental video project, reminiscing on personal pre-pandemic memories of nocturnal folly and strong amical love, shot on my sony hi8 tape video camera, contrasted with recordings of google earth street view data, of a cold and artificial covid-19 free Montreal, as the only completely safe alternative to leaving the house. This video is a modified version of my initial project idea, accommodated to our new circumstances of life. I made this video as a way of coping with intensely missing my friends and the physicality of interacting with people/the world. Instead of a dreamy and euphoric atmosphere that i was initially aiming for with my original idea, prior to Covid-19, the end product turned out to be more of a sad, high speed recollection of blissful times, almost like what they say you see, right before you die.
